Description

The 3D mapping of MU Campus is a research project that has been undertaken to provide a complete 3D rendering of the Mansfield University campus. This project will be completed with the use of programs such as Arc Map and Arc Scene. Integration of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV’s) will facilitate the representation of the buildings on the MU campus through collecting imagery. The finished product of this research concentration will be a 3D campus rendering that will allow viewers to virtually explore the campus. The use of virtual reality technology will be imperative in creating this rendering and finally a tour one can take through the use of Oculus Rift. This is an ambitious project that we hope to further by the end of the spring 2016 semester.
